The—SEARCH (Part Two)

LOST Banner ©Jack BoardmanPreviously: For an experienced laker—and these guys were certainly experienced lakers—time still drags after a while.

Still—they were motivated. Conversations were, at first, spirited—but as the hours dragged-on, and on—the search degenerated into boredom.

They began to fight the urge to sleep.

Sometimes one or another would succumb to sleep.

Episode 4—Scene 3… Thirty-five Miles up-lake… Linda Ralph, and Sarah stubbornly refused to quit—the search too important. There was still an hour before sunset, and they were determined to make the most of it.

The lake had calmed since the previous day making the search somewhat easier.

Ultimately—they found no sign of their friends and headed for port.

Season 15—Adventure 1—LOST—Episode 5—Scene 1… On Lake Superior, a Fur-Piece Away… The rough water had become—OLD, mere words were not enough to describe how the occupants of Pegasus II hated the angry lake at this point—they wanted a divorce!

“We must find shelter—BEFORE WE LOSE OUR MINDS!

IF it were calm to the southwest—why not here? It seemed almost, as if the high wind was only where they were.

It was.

Just about the time they could take no more of this pounding, Mac saw what he believed to be a break in the trees along the shore. He changed course and headed for that break in the trees.

As they got closer, it became apparent that might be a cove there—a place to get out of the wind.

And then, the cove magically revealed itself.

Episode 5—Scene 2… The Cove… It was a tight fit, but Mac’s mad piloting skilz made it look easy. They dropped anchor and prepared for a good night’s sleep—after the meal Boomer had prepared.

Limited to one mug each—so they might sleep with few—a-hem—interruptions.

They lingered over the meal—I won’t tell you the menu ‘cause that might just make you hungry—GENTLE READER—and that would simply be cruel.

An hour later they went to bed—there were no interruptions.

No one happened to look out the starboard porthole.

Too bad!
