“BILL—NO!”

Fugitive Banner ©Jack BoardmanPREVIOUSLY: What Andy and his crew could NOT know, was that US District Court judge Miles Lord had ordered Rupert Festus Wilbur, Jr. be immediately taken to Saint Paul to be arraigned on federal charges due to his having crossed into Canada and allegedly committing crimes there.

The marshal’s van passed right by where Andy and crew were hidden.

At precisely 7:30am, Andy and company stormed into the Moosehead County jail.

Without a single word—they shot Deputy Smith to death.

Taking her keys—they entered the jail.

Season 15—Adventure 5—Fugitive—Episode 2—Scene 1… Inside the Moosehead County Jail… Lester Showalter—father of two—grandfather of six—didn’t stand a chance—he was dead before he hit the floor.

“Where’s Rupert?”

“I don’t know,” Janine Wilbur replied, “US Marshals took him away about ten minutes ago. I heard them say they had a federal warrant for his arrest.”

“DAMMIT!” Andy spat, “Okay, Janine, let’s get you out of here—c’mon, let’s go!”

“I gotta get somewhere safe—when Rupert talks, we’re gonna lose a whole lot of money.”

“No, my brother has a plan,” Andy replied, “We have a very-good place for you to set-up your headquarters. Let’s get going!”

Episode 2—Scene 2… At a cabin in Moosehead County… “Is she all set-up?”

“Yes, Bill, she is.”

“Good,” William Carstairs replied, “Now—can you tell me why you went into the jail shooting?”

“It was easier.”

“You do understand that every peace officer in the state is looking for you.”

“I reckon,” Andy grinned, “Y’can’t make an omelet without breakin’ a few eggs.”

“Gentlemen, please escort Andy to his new home. Make it quick—with no suffering.”

“BILL—NO!” Andy exclaimed.

Those were the last words Andy ever said to his brother.

Episode 2—Scene 3… At a cottage on Whispering Cove… Donna Wilson, now the newest resident of Moosehead County, had just taken possession of the little cottage on the bay, located just outside the Village of Danger Bay.

It was the first cottage she’d ever owned.

She was also the proud owner of a customized 1958 Volkswagen she had found at Farkleberry’s.

Ms. Wilson wasn’t rich, but by any standard of wealth, she was well-off. This was due, allegedly, to her divorce settlement. At least, that’s what the local gossip concluded.

To be—CONTINUED…
