“Do these two argue like this all the time?”

Pursuit Twenty-First Century Banner ©Jack BoardmanPREVIOUSLY: The only solace he could take is that they got underway without Cujo being aware of what they were up to—but that wouldn’t last.

The one thing he could do would be to disappear from the train.

With a few words of encouragement, he left the train—and reappeared in the northeastern Minnesota’s border with Canada.

That just might buy Beauregard’s train enough time.

Episode 6—Scene 3—Inside Beauregard’s Train… “Gentlemen, we’re on our way to freedom from that ‘Posse,’ finally.”

“Where are we going?”

“The Dakotas,” He replied, “We have some delightful business opportunities there and in Wyoming.”

“What kind of opportunities?”

“You guys come well-recommended—but trust must be earned. You haven’t done that—yet.”

Season 16—Adventure 1—PURSUIT—Episode 7—Scene 1—Beauregard’s Train made it to South Dakota—just as Cujo determined where it was heading. She quickly passed that information to the Adventure Train’s Operations Center.

Aboard Beauregard’s train, he made his choices for team leaders, and shared his plan—unfortunately, GENTLE READER, I have no idea what that plan is—it was not shared with me.

Episode 7—Scene 2—Adventure Train… was crossing a large trestle in northern Minnesota when contacted by Cujo. She contacted Chris and advised her of the location & heading of Beauregard’s train.

“Head north into Alberta and then due west,” she said to Clem in the operations center, “At maximum speed. When we’re north of the Black Hills, turn south. That should get us to Deadwood ahead of Beauregard.”

“Roger that, boss,” Clem replied.

No one aboard the train felt the change of course—of COURSE!

“Alright everyone,” Chris was rubbing her hands together in anticipation, “Let’s get down to planning!”

“Joey gets to take lead in all combat!” Boomer exclaimed.

“No—he doesn’t!” Joey said.

“Does!”

“Doesn’t!”

“Do these two argue like this all the time?” Loren asked.

Boomer and Joey simultaneously replied, “Yes.”

Loren glanced at Debra—who was rolling her eyes.

“Get used to it, Loren.”

Episode 7—Scene 3—An hour later, the Adventure Train arrived in Manitoba… And proceeded west until it turned south towards North Dakota.

The banter by our heroes trailed-off and boredom set-in.

They spent their time discussing plans for when they arrive in Deadwood—and came-up with a plan to spend just a little time in town to find a location, and then concentrating upon setting-up their headquarters.

To be CONTINUED…

By lead, if you mean in charge. Joey has this. By lead, if you mean out front, that could be a problem
