PREVIOUSLY: If there were any performances along the way—the chronicles don’t have any such record.
That’s probably for the best.
It should be noted that Joey, in the privacy of his car sang:
“Cock a doodle do!
My dame has lost her shoe,
My master’s lost his fiddlestick,
And knows not what to do…”
Over and over and over…
The Jones Gang met on the Codger Lodge deck, for absolute privacy—after all, they don’t want the local yokels to have any clue of what they’ve been engaged.
“I would say we were even more successful than we expected.”
“A quarter-mill in one operation,” Jones observed, “And your haul from Pine City is the frosting on the cake.”
“What’s next?” Pete Hanson asked.
“We need to find out where those folks we recruited have been—I’m beginning to think they aren’t who they claim to be.”
Season 16—Adventure 5—On the Lam—Episode 8—Scene 1—Outside the Codger Lodge… “Williams, Ford, and Hanson, go check Boomer & Joey’s cabin on the gravel road overlooking the lake—and see if they’re around,” Jones instructed, “Hale, you come with me.”

“Okay boss,” Williams replied, “We’re on it.”

“Tell me, exactly, what you and the others have been doing for us.”
“Quite a bit, actually—but, you and the others were nowhere to be found.”
Episode 8—Scene 2—The Posse’s Cabin… “That looks like the place,” Williams said, “Should we go in shooting?”
“Should we go in shooting?”
“Why?” Ford asked, “We haven’t enough information to resort to shooting.”
“Yeah—but we could make-up a story to cover that—right?”
“I’ll just go knock on the door,” Ford replied, “If you’re scared—stand back.”
Joey answered the door—with a wide grin (does he ever NOT have a wide grin?), “Hello fellas—what’s up? We’ve been waiting for orders from the boss.”
As Williams and his crew walked-in—their jaws practically hit the floor.
