PREVIOUSLY: “Really?” Jones asked, “How?”
“By spreading-out across the northern part of Minnesota and into Wisconsin as far east as Chippewa Falls.”
“Why didn’t you inform me?”
“Because if you were caught, you would have no idea where we were—or what we were doing.”
Just then—Juco appeared, “She’s not telling you the entire truth.”
“And that would be?”
“They’re not working for you—they’re working for the Sheriff’s office,” Juco replied, “All your people have been captured except you and Hale.”
“Well, Ms Halvorson, it appears you’re coming with us—and your survival is not certain.”
Linda didn’t mention that along with Juco—ghost-dog Kai Braveheart appeared.
She was not afraid.
Season 16—Adventure 6—Joey in Charge—Episode 1—Scene 1…Danger Bay RR depot… “That is one nasty-looking locomotive,” Linda quipped, “Are you sure it will make it even out-of-town?”
“That is one nasty-looking locomotive”
“Shut-up and get aboard,” Jones replied, “Enjoy your last train-ride.”
Linda smiled sweetly, and then gave him an upstroke between the legs with her cane, “We’ll see who survives this train-ride.”
Mike Hale did his best not to laugh, “You’d best get aboard, lady.”
Linda started towards the train, and gave a wink to the invisible Kai Braveheart, who gave a tail-wag in return.
She thought her chances of survival were pretty good.
She was almost correct in that assumption.
Jones was angry—but in no shape to take revenge, “What are you laughing at?”
“You, Jon,” Hale snorted, “She’s not one to mess with—none of those folks are. When are you going to stop underestimating them?”
“I suppose now would be good.”
Joey in Charge—Episode 1—Scene 2…Meanwhile inside the Posse HQ… “I have been in charge for too long already,” Chris opened the meeting of the posse, “How about you, Mac?”
“Oh no,” Mac replied, “I’ve held that job several times.”
“Boomer?” Chris asked.
“Nope,” He replied, “I write this crap!”
“I nominate, wait for it—wait for it—Joey,” Debra, with a truly wicked grin, suggested.
“NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!” Joey exclaimed.
“All those in favor?” Debra asked.
“Aye,” all but Joey replied.
“The ‘ayes’ have it!” Debra exclaimed, “What next—BOSS?”
“Crap,” Joey sighed, “Very-well then, let’s get down to business. Ideas, anyone?”
Kai Braveheart showed—at the best possible time, “People-dog Linda has been abducted and she’s aboard a train that just left the Danger Bay railroad station.”
Joey wasted no time making a decision, “Adventure Train! We’ll bring our bikes as they’ll take-up less room.”
