“What IS that?” Clausen asked.

“A small drone—and possibly big trouble,” Hale replied, “Mike—tell the engineers to bring the train to full speed!”

The Posse Drone found Jones drone…

Jones’ drone took evasive action—for ten minutes it attempted to evade the more nimble and faster Posse drone.

Twisting & turning, diving & climbing—all for naught.

The Posse drone opened fire with its two .22 caliber machineguns.

The Jones drone, belching smoke—went down and crashed next to the tracks.

Season 16—Adventure 6—Joey in Charge—Episode 5—Scene 1…Aboard the Hale train… “The screen’s gone black and I’ve lost control of the drone,” Jones said, “I can only assume it’s been shot down.”

Everyone there was so concerned with the drone’s fate—they didn’t notice the empty cell—Linda was gone!

Leaving behind a smiling Kai Braveheart, who soon departed—leaving behind an image of Linda within the cell.

He joined Linda just outside of the cab of the locomotive, “Okay People-Dog, Linda—let’s take-over this train.”

The engineer about jumped out of his skin when Linda appeared next to him in the cab, “YIKES!” he exclaimed.

He then noticed the sword she held—and his eyes gave-away his fear, “Don’t hurt me—I’ll do whatever you ask. I’m not with those folks in back—HONEST!”

“Leave this track at the next junction.”

“Yes ma’am,” he replied, “But, I must tell you this locomotive is running low on fuel—she’s a real fuel-hog.”

“Then stop for fuel—but first show me how to run this beast. I’m a quick study. You will stay behind after we refuel.”

They found the next junction, and fortunately it was connected to a very long curve. It was unlikely the passengers would notice the change.

They didn’t.

Episode 5—Scene 2…At the fuel stop… “I’ll get off here after we’re done refueling and I’ve disconnected the loco.”

“Is that safe?”

“Yes—this is where I live,” he replied, “I’ll just go through the woods to my place—they’ll never see me.”

“Thank you for all your help,” Linda smiled, “And for showing me how to run this beast.”

“No problem—at least you don’t have to steer the thing.”

Episode 5—Scene 3…At the fuel stop… “Why is this taking so long?” Jones asked.

“I have no idea, Jon,” Hale replied, “Perhaps we should find out—we can’t stay here.”

They went outside and discovered their rail cars had been disconnected.
