“Oh, that sounds wonderful,” Susan replied, “Perfect after a long road-trip.”

Off to the side, Chris whispered to Debra, “Something seems familiar about these women—I can’t quite put my finger on it.”

“Now that you mention it,” Debra replied, “I’m getting similar vibes. We should, as soon as is reasonable, make our excuses and leave.”

“Agreed—I’ll tell Linda.”

Episode 3—Scene 3… Moosehead County Sheriff’s Office… “I can’t quite be certain, Andy,” Chris began, “But, there’s something familiar about those three women.”

“You have to have more than that for us to investigate.”

“Yeah, I know. Maybe we can discretely just happen to snoop around?”

“If you wish,” Andy replied, “Perhaps you three can drive all the county roads and look for that Rolls Royce.”

“Will do.”

Season 16—Adventure 8—Deputies—Episode 4—Scene 1… Inside Silverthorn’s Café… After several days of driving the highways & byways of Moosehead County—and coming-up with nothing, Chris, Debra, and Linda were about ready to give-up.

And then—Chris happened to see the Rolls-Royce parked by Silverthorn’s Café.

“Ah—a great time for breakfast,” she thought and parked her car.

“Oh—hello ladies,” Chris greeted as she entered Silverthorn’s, “Fancy running into you here.”

“Wow—yeah,” Susan replied, “Do you live close-by?”

“Up on the bluff—overlooking the lake—are you settling here?”

“We found a cottage overlooking a small bay.”

“Oh, I know that place, Donna Wilson used to live there.”

“Yes, that’s the cottage.”

“Well—congratulations seem to be in order,” Chris grinned, “Welcome to Danger Bay.”

“So—Chris is it? What do you do?”

“I’m retired—living the good life.”

“Married?”

“Nope—but in a relationship, Wyatt Earp—a deputy sheriff,” Chris replied, “He’s the best guy I’ve ever met.”

“Wyatt Earp? Is he related to…”

“Great-great grandchild.”

“WOW!”

“Oh heck, we even have descendants of James Butler Hickok and Buffalo Bill Cody living here.”

“Are they all lawmen?

“James Butler Hickok III, the Great-Great-Grandson of the famous Wild Bill Hickok is a deputy US Marshal.”

“This Moosehead County must be a pretty-safe place,” Susan observed, “With these famous lawmen around.”

“You’ll be safe here.”

Episode 4—Scene 2… An Hour Later, Outside Louisa, Anna and Susan’s Cottage… Linda saw the newcomers outside Donna Wilson’s former cottage, “Greetings ladies, welcome to Danger Bay. I’m Linda Bryant Halvorson. My husband Ralph and I live up on the bluff.”

I wonder if the Ladies are feeling a bit of pressure at this point. 🙂 They would not be so foolish as to try and take us all out now would they?
