“Where would that be, exactly?”

Pettersen Banner ©JBoardmanPreviously: “Wow!” Debra exclaimed, “It’s bigger than I imagined.”

“Ralph and I usually stay at The Inn on Lake Superior, and we love it,” Linda said, “But—this will do nicely.”

“Let’s get settled, and then explore a little,” Chris suggested, “I’ve never been here.”

Twenty-minutes later—they did just that. The Canal was not yet awake, and they had no crowds to fight. Linda showed them all the sights.

They ended their explorations on the Duluth Lakewalk—not far from the motel.

“I’m hungry,” Chris said, “There’s nothing open yet.”

“They have a complimentary breakfast at the hotel,” Linda replied, “Boomer told me it’s not a bad option.”

They returned to the hotel and found the cafeteria.

There they found a decent variety of entrées available. While not gourmet meals—they were tasty.

Meanwhile—at Pettersen’s Office…

Season 17—Adventure 1—Pettersen—Episode 9—Scene 1… Meanwhile—at Pettersen’s Office… “I just heard from an operative inside the Duluth Police Department—Boomer and Joey were not arrested,” Neil S Pettersen announced, “We must pack-up and get out-of-town.”

“And go where?” brother William asked.

“Where they’ll not think of looking for us.”

“Where would that be, exactly?”

“Almost under their collective noses—rural Moosehead County,” Neil replied, “Have our guy phony-up new identities for all of us—and we’ll find a place there.”

Soon all four had new identities. With those credentials—including a great credit-rating (also phony) and new-to-them cars they were ready to make their move.

The credentials were based upon the names of long-deceased brothers—Arthur and Harry (wait for it GENTLE READER) Boardman. They had no idea that “Boomer” wasn’t Boomer’s last name.

Will that matter?

And Louisa & Anna James became Sandra and Grace Meyers,

In any case—the four were soon on the expressway from Duluth to Two Harbors.

William contacted the firm “Rentals Are Us” in Moosehead City and they made an arrangement to visit several rental properties in rural Moosehead County with the company.

They found the perfect place—in fact, it was the first one they looked at. As a bonus, it was only five miles away from Moosehead City and Moosehead County College where the girls would enroll in their adult education program.

The brothers insisted they attend for their plan to fit-in while keeping a low profile. “Sandra” and “Grace” were quite pleased to take advantage of this opportunity—it was far better than recruiting new gang-members.

In fact—all four fit-in so well—they’re disappearing from the Posse’s radar.

Thus—Ends this Adventure—But Our Story Will Be Continued…
