PREVIOUSLY: “How do you feel about wet-work?” Smithers asked.
Both Wyatt & Chris Earp had their (cleverly hidden) Colts drawn and pointed at Smithers—before he finished speaking.
“Does this answer your question, Mr. Smithers?” Chris asked—with a wide smile.
A visibly shaken Smithers replied, “Um—yes, it does.”
“Good,” Wyatt added, “Let’s get down to business.”
“Very-well,” Kelly Johnson said, “Our first goal is to take-over all the ‘illegal’ activities in Moosehead County; by whatever means necessary.”
“That’s why,” Smithers added, “We asked about wet-work.”
“We know a couple of guys who have a business—just south of ‘legal,’ who we could eliminate for you,” Wyatt explained, “How about we eliminate that little problem?”
“Boomer and Jerkovich.”
“Never heard of them.”
“They’re THAT good,” Chris added, “There’s also Big Mac McIntyre to consider ‘removing,’ his scam has never been so much as noticed by local law-enforcement people.”
“Well—that’s your assignment.”
Uh-Oh, GENTLE READER™, this could be a problem.
Season 17—Adventure 8—The Fugitive 21st Century—Episode 9—Scene 1… Outside the Lakeside Café… Joey & Murphy came out from behind the Lakeside Café, “Hey! Wait for us!”
“Hey! Wait for us!”
“We thought you were on vacation.”
“Yes, Linda, we were, but decided we could be there and here as well—like always.”
“I see you brought your own car—that means I FINALLY get to drive my car!”
“Yes—it does, it was fun while it lasted,” Joey laughed.
“Whoa,” Daisy barked, “Looking good Murphy.”
“Thanks, little friend, I got a makeover—it looks like you got one too.”
“I SO did,” Daisy replied, “I look way-more like me.”
Episode 9—Scene 2… Inside the Posse HQ… Mac & Collie McIntyre had been monitoring the Posse-members’ activities—and were quite caught up in that duty to the degree that both jumped when the door opened, “Hey little big brother—how are you?”
“Hey little big brother—how are you?”
“MERLE!” Mac exclaimed, “It’s been way too-long!”
“A-HEM!” the woman standing next to Merle exclaimed, “Aren’t you going to introduce me?”
“Forgive me, m’dear—where ARE my manners,” Merle replied, “May I introduce my bride, White Dove—and before he starts complaining, Trooper.”
“Very pleased to meet you, White Dove, I’m Collie McIntyre—welcome to the family.”
“Thank you, Collie,” White Dove replied, “Merle has mentioned you as his reason for marrying me—thank you very much.”
“So—what is it you do here, brother?”
