Previously: “Still—it’s in good shape,” Teresa rejoined, “Nothing we can’t handle.”
“True,” Boomer agreed, “It’s in better shape than our house was when we first moved into it.”
“Yes,” Teresa agreed, “That much is certain—now YOU get out of here while we professionals discuss the details of our purchase.”
“Yes ma’am,” Boomer laughed. In truth—he was aching to check-out that old pick-up truck out in the barn.
“The keys are on the kitchen counter,” O’Hara said, “I started the truck last week and it runs fine.”
“How did you know?”
“I saw you giving the truck a good look as we walked past it,” O’Hara grinned.
“Okay,” Teresa said, “Here’s our offer—based in part on my research of recent sales of similar properties in the county.”
After looking the offer over, O’Hara said, “This is not a bad offer—let me contact the administrator of the estate.”
O’Hara returned ten minutes later, “It took a little convincing—but the administrator accepted the offer.”
Season 17—Adventure 9—VACATIONS—Episode 2—Scene 1… Inside the Posse HQ… “Boomer & T bought the farm—on their vacation!” Big Mac exclaimed.
“Where?” Linda asked.
“In Pine County, near Duquette—about 180 miles south,” Mac replied, “I think Collie and I will offer to help fix it up—Boomer says the house requires a lot of work.”
“Oh—we so will,” Collie agreed, “Anyone else?”
“We’d love to help,” Chris said, “But Wyatt and I have reservations at the Suites Motel in Canal Park.”
“A farm?” Ralph asked, “What do you think, Linda?”
“Let’s go!”
“DANGIT!” Joey exclaimed, “I have a non-refundable reservation for a canoe-trip down the Amazon River.”
“White Dove and I also have reservations for a visit to Tahiti,” Merle McIntyre said, “We’ve never been there.”
“I’m going on a well-deserved bike trip,” Debra sighed, “And I’m not feeling guilty (shhh—don’t tell Boomer)!”
“We won’t—for a price,” Joey quipped.
“You want to get hurt?”
Joey laughed.

Our heroes found they had their work cut-out for them.
Although not in terrible condition—the former owner left a lot of furniture and personal belongings behind. Several pick-up loads were delivered to second-hand stores—and a few to the local recycle center.
After many hours of work… they finished.

Boomer Mac & Merle loaded their trucks several times before all the previous owner’s belongings were gone from the house.
