This was no big deal on the freeway, right?

Vacations Banner ©JBoardmanPreviously: Debra set-out on her vacation—riding through Rochester on her way to I-90. It felt good to be riding after all they’d been through.

Riding her Harley was just the cure for what she had been through—the sound of her bike’s engine was somehow comforting.

What she didn’t know yet—was what was in store for her down the highway.

If she did, she may have reconsidered taking a road trip.

Scene 3… St. Paul, Minnesota… Inside the McIntyre Loft… “It’s good to be home.”

“It sure is, Carl,” Collie replied, “Danger Bay is a great place to visit—but the ‘adventures’ we have can be a bit—scary!”

“They certainly can,” Mac replied, “After we rest a bit, we could stop by the Codger Café and catch-up with Medford & Jay.”

“That would be lovely, Carl,” she replied, “It’s been too long since we’ve seen those two.”

“So,” Mac began, “What would you like for dinner, Collie?”

“Whatever you fix—dear.”

“I figured as much.”

Season 17—Adventure 9—VACATIONS—Episode 4—Scene 1… Interstate 90 west of Rochester, Minnesota… Debra was making good time—perhaps even cheating a little on the 70mph speed limit (something I admit GENTLE READER™, I haven’t a clue).

She glanced in her mirrors and noticed a motorcycle slowly closing on her. This was no big deal on the freeway, right?

But when the bike closed the interval between them—it began to just keep-pace with her. This piqued her curiosity.

She slowed a little.

The other bike slowed a little.

Debra changed her speed several times.

The other bike kept pace.

This went on for 20 miles or more.

Finally—Debra pulled off onto the shoulder.

The other rider did, as well.

Episode 4—Scene 2… Inside Mac & Collie’s Condo… “Ah, home again!”

“Feels good, Mac,” Collie agreed, “I missed this place—I know Cu-Cu returns us from our travels at the same moment we left—but still…”

“Agreed,” Mac replied, “I wonder if Boomer and Teresa are back as well.”

“I would guess back—and on their way up to the farm to continue their restoration.”

Episode 4—Scene 3… Outside the Codger Café in Saint Paul, Minnesota… Mac and Collie walked up and down the sidewalk—savoring the fact they were back in St. Paul. It was comforting to be home after this last adventure.

I wonder, GENTLE READER™ if this just might be another adventure?
