“Wow—Imagine this!”

Vacations Banner ©JBoardman PREVIOUSLY: “That’s a fact,” Debra agreed, “Let’s stop at the next rest-stop where we can talk—I don’t like riding with someone I don’t know.”

“Oh yes,” She replied, “I could use some coffee.”

“I’m Melissa MacLeod out of Albert Lea.”

“Pleased to meet you, I’m Debra Wennen-Miller of Rochester.”

“I didn’t exactly tell you the truth back there—I’m running from my ex-husband.”

“That terrible,” Debra replied, “By that I mean you shouldn’t have to run.”

“I do if I don’t want to get beat-up.”

“Were the police involved?”

“They were—and they tried to be helpful, but there seems to be little they can do to ensure my safety.”

“Yeah,” Debra agreed, “That’s always the problem—they can’t guard you 24/7.”

“Are you married?”

“Happily.”

“Yet you’re riding alone.”

“I needed some me-time.”

“And he let you?”

“He encouraged me.”

“Wow.”

Season 17—Adventure 9—VACATIONS—Episode 6—Scene 1… Clem’s Custom Cabins St. Louis County, MN… Debra was more the a little surprised when Chris & Wyatt Earp walked into the motel office, “Wow—Imagine this!”

“Debra!” Chris exclaimed, “What a surprise!”

“What are you guys doing—following me?” Debra had to laugh.

“Excuse me,” Melissa interrupted—with a grin.

“Oh—sorry! Guys this is my new friend, Melissa McLeod—Melissa, these two desperadoes are Chris & Wyatt Earp IV.”

“Pleased to meet you,” she replied, “You may not know this—but I’m going to be a regular recurring character on this blog.”

“You KNOW this is a blog?” Chris asked—dumbfounded.

“Yes—doesn’t everyone?”

BOOMER!” Chris exclaimed.

“Who’s Boomer?”

“You don’t know?”

“Oops,” a disembodied voice spoke.

CU-CU!” Chris exclaimed, “It was YOU?”

“Sorry.”

“I didn’t know you could make a mistake.”

“I can when I’m playing cribbage with the entity.”

“So—that explains a lot!”

“It’s the best excuse I can come up with on short notice.”

Episode 6—Scene 2… Clem’s Custom Cabins… Kelly Johnson & Andy McCoy were looking for a place to rest after a long day of driving—the two were on a vacation as awarded by James Braddock.

“Hey Kelly, this place looks fine, and I’m tired of being on the road—and so is my butt.”

“Sure—why not?”

It was purely coincidental they picked this motel.

On the other hand, neither of them knew exactly who our heroes and their new friend were—as Braddock hadn’t informed them.

They parked the car and went into the office to check-in.
