“Mac, Collie, may I introduce Melissa McLeod?”

Vacations Banner ©J. BoardmanPREVIOUSLY: Chris Earp had been elected team leader this time around—and she lost no time getting-down to business, “I hate being stuck here, waiting—HIDING from our enemy.”

“That’s right,” Debra agreed, “We need to be out there tracking them down.”

“We need a plan—and a good one,” Linda stated, “Before we run-off half-cocked.”

“Exactly,” Mac chimed-in, “Prudence dictates we stay here where they can’t find us—but, I ask you—what damage will they do to the citizens of Moosehead County while we hide here?”

“So—what’s the plan?” Boomer asked, “Just leave here and pretend we’re going-about our business?”

Chris laughed, “We’re notorious gunslingers in the past—those skills carry-over to the 21st Century.”

“Oh-BOY!” Joey exclaimed, “I think I need another vacation.”

That—got everyone laughing.

Season 17—Adventure 9—VACATIONS—Episode 10—Scene 1… Inside the Posse HQ… “Mac, Collie, may I introduce Melissa McLeod?”

“How did you get her in here?” Mac asked, “Only Posse-members can even see this place.”

“Cu-Cu approved Melissa, after our vacation trip,” Debra replied—and then gave Mac the short version of their trip.

Big Mac smiled—broadly, “Well—then, welcome to the Posse, Miss McLeod.”

“What are our orders, Mr. McIntyre?”

“First,” Mac replied, “Knock it off with that mister nonsense.”

“Yes SIR!” Melissa laughed.

“Go about your normal business—but do that armed,” Mac replied, “They’ll come to you we believe.”

“Armed?” she replied, “I don’t have a firearm.”

Collie went to the Posse armory and returned with a Colt .45 semi-automatic pistol and a shoulder-holster. “Debra will instruct you.”

“Thank you—but I served in the Army and qualified as ‘expert’ on both the .45 and the 9mm pistols.”

“Well then,” Mac grinned, “As a former Army Ranger and Sergeant-Major, I say welcome to the Posse!”

“Oo-Raw!” Melissa replied.

“Oh BOY!” Debra thought to herself.

Episode 10—Scene 2… Outside Boomer’s place… “No Joey,” Boomer said, “You don’t get to drive my car—all the time.”

“I didn’t finish my sentence—we’ll take turns.”

“I need a vacation.”

“You just had one.”

“And your point?”

“Chris wants us to just go about our usual business—let’s visit Silverthorn’s Café.”

Inside Silverthorn’s Café ©J. Boardman“Breakfast!”

As it worked-out—Jesus Valdez and Andy McCoy were also in the café.

They both drew their weapons with Valdez exclaiming, “You are so DEAD!”

”I don’t think so,” Missy Silverthorn said from behind the counter, “Make one move I don’t like…”
