The Posse™ safely arrived in Danger Bay Harbor

PREVIOUSLY: “Bringing the Griffith to Warp one, Captain!”

“Stop it!” Linda exclaimed.

Boomer & Mac laughed in response, as Boomer lowered the four hydroplane-propellers.

The Griffith quickly out-ran the runabout.

“Gee,” Chris observed, “I wonder what they’re thinking now?”

“Probably what they’ll tell their employer,” Mac replied, “I’d like to know who they are working for.”

“What now, Captain?”

“We find a cove to hide in, Mr. Worf,” Mac replied.

“Stop it!” Linda exclaimed—again.

“Make it so, helmsman.”

Episode 5—Scene 3… On Lake Superior… The runabout slowed… “Now what, Magee?”

“We report back to O’Hara, Mr. Helms.”

“He won’t be happy.”

“We’ll continue down the coast for another hour or so,” Magee replied, “Just to be sure.”

Season 18—Adventure 4—Starting Over—Episode 5—Scene 1… Hiding in a cove aboard the MV Ina May Griffith… “They didn’t see us!” Chris exclaimed.

“They didn’t see us!”

“Apparently not,” Mac replied, “We’d best get back to Danger Bay.”

“We should wait here a while, Mac,” Chris suggested.

“Good point,” Mac replied, “We’ll do that.”

Sure-enough, the bad-guys motored back past the cove at high-speed, not bothering to look-into the cove.

A half-hour later the Posse left the cove and slowly made their way back to Danger Bay.

Episode 5—Scene 2… The Posse™ safely arrived in Danger Bay Harbor… Other than stopping to pose for this illustration—they went directly to the Silverthorn Café to score lunch.

“What’ll you have folks?” Janelle Silverthorn asked, “We have all your usual Posse™ specials today.”

“That sounds good to me” Mac rumbled.

After looking-around to make sure there were no strangers hanging-out—everybody placed their lunch orders.

“Gratis on a Portice with Escoffier Sauce, please,” Boomer ordered.

“Half-pound medium rare cheeseburger with a side of skin-on French fries—right?”

“Onion rings instead of fries, please.”

“That sounds good to me,” Mac rumbled.

The balance of the Posse™ placed their respective orders and soon settled into enjoying their lunch.

Episode 5—Scene 3… At Davenport’s cabin overlooking Lakeview City… “They failed?”

“They failed?”

“Yes Stan,” Erik O’Hara replied, “Miserably.”

“Where did they go?”

“We still believe they went to Canada,” Erik replied, “We’ve found no evidence to the contrary.”

“How did you reward our operatives?”

“Cement overshoes.”

“That works.”

“What is our next move, Stan?”

“Because we don’t know the status of the Posse, we’ll continue to lay-low until we know more,” Davenport replied, “Check with Capt. Frank Hopkins and see how his new men are shaping-up.”

“Right away.”
