“Fish Food”

“Yes Stan,” Erik O’Hara replied, “Miserably.”

“Where did they go?”

“We still believe they went to Canada,” Erik replied, “We’ve found no evidence to the contrary.”

“How did you reward our operatives?”

“Cement overshoes.”

“That works.”

“What is our next move, Stan?”

“Because we don’t know the status of the Posse, we’ll continue to lay-low until we know more,” Davenport replied, “Check with Capt. Frank Hopkins and see how his new men are shaping-up.”

“Right away.”

Season 18—Adventure 4—Starting Over—Episode 6—Scene 1Erik O’Hara met with Captain Hopkins at the Lakeview Café… “Tell me Captain that you’ve restored your militia’s operational capabilities.”

“We’re getting there Mr. O’Hara,” Hopkins replied, “Two weeks of additional training and they’ll be up to speed.”

“I guess that’ll have to do,” O’Hara sighed, “We came close to eliminating the Posse™, but they eluded our former employees.”

“Former?”

“We rewarded their failure with a visit to the bottom of Lake Superior—they failed to return.”

“Found other employment—did they?”

O’Hara replied, “Fish food.”

“I’ve had one or two serving in the same capacity.”

“I’ll let Davenport know you’ll need two weeks to prepare,” O’Hara concluded the meeting, “He’ll be pleased to learn you’ll soon be back in business.”

“Excellent,” Hopkins grinned.

Episode 6—Scene 2The Posse™ lingered inside the Silverthorn Café… “Any sign of Erik O’Hara since last you were here?”

“No, Janelle,” Mac replied, “But, we’ve had plenty of contact with folks we believe he hired.”

“I believe they now eat at the Lakeview Café—at least that’s what I’ve heard from a friend who works there.”

“Don’t tell her we’re here in town,” Mac instructed, “We’re not ready to surprise them yet.”

The Posse™ knew they could trust every member of the Silverthorn family with their lives—they were, after all—the first family to become their friends… in the 19th, 20th & 21st Centuries.

Episode 6—Scene 3Hopkins flew past Fordham Engineering (the Posse HQ™) … Several times.

Hopkins flew past Fordham Engineering ©Jack BoardmanSeveral times.

Thanks to Cu-Cu—he never found any evidence that it had anything to do with the (so-called Posse™).

He was certain that it was the correct location—but after finding no evidence that it was not what it appeared to be—he finally concluded that it was a fool’s errand and gave-up.

(Still—Gentle Reader—Hopkins is the most dangerous enemy the Posse™ has faced so-far.)

Well, if he gave up then he is not that dangerous. Love me some Silverthorn Family. They have our backs and more 🙂
