Previously: “I think you’ve nailed it,” Wyatt Earp agreed, “They’re unlikely to go to the police.”
“That much is certain,” Boomer laughed.
“So, we wait?” Chris asked, “I hate waiting.”
“Of course, you do,” Boomer laughed.
“I’ve seen a number of people who appear to be newcomers to Moosehead County,” Debra added, “People I don’t recognize working in some of the businesses—particularly in Moosehead City.”
“On your motorcycle tours?”
“Of course—my Harley needs exercise now and then,” Debra laughed.
Episode 2—Scene 2… Inside a Moosehead City Bar… Simpson met with Pete Peterson and Bernard Hampton,
“Gentlemen—I’m prepared to make you an offer you’d be foolish to reject.”
“Make your offer, and we’ll consider it,” Hampton replied.
Season 18—Adventure 5—SIMPSON—Episode 3—Scene 1… Inside a Moosehead City Bar… Simpson made his offer—and much to his surprise—they accepted the offer, “Geeze—I should have offered less,” he thought to himself, “Oh well perhaps they have friends.”
“Oh well perhaps they have friends.”
Turning to his new-hires, he said, “If any of you gents have friends looking for work—send them to me here.”
“Yeah,” Hampton replied, “I know some guys—I’ll contact them, and see what they think.”
“I do too,” Peterson added, “I’ll do the same as Bernie.”
“Very-well, gentlemen,” Simpson replied, “Do it.”
Pete Peterson, George Wilson, and Bernard Hampton left immediately, and headed to the various locations where their friends might be found.
Within a couple of hours—each man returned with candidates for the job.
Episode 3—Scene 2… Inside another Moosehead City Bar… Simpson & Keller hired 3 more men, Tommy Reed, James Justen and Eric Johnson.
“Welcome, gentlemen, to my operation—you’re hired.”
“Welcome, gentlemen, to my operation—you’re hired.”
“You’re welcome, Mr. Simpson,” Justen replied, “I think I can speak for the others—we’re looking forward to working with you.”
The others all nodded in agreement.
“First,” Simpson said, “We’ll have to find you a place to live—I believe the Blue Swallow Motel has vacancies—at least they did yesterday when I drove past.”
“Is it a decent motel?”
“Yes, Mr. Reed, it is,” Keller replied, “I have a room there—it’s quite nice—especially when one gets the monthly-rate.”
They all found rooms at the Blue Swallow motel.
