“Copy that.”

Simpson BannerPreviously: “I couldn’t help but see the ‘for sale’ sign as we pulled-in,” Keller greeted the woman behind the desk, in addition to renting all the available rooms, I may wish to purchase this motel.”

“Really?” Sue Smith replied, “I own the motel, part of a chain, and will consider any reasonable offer.”

“I’ll contact my partner,” he replied, “I’ll be right back.”

“Al,” Keller said into his cell, “How would Stanley Enterprises like to own a motel?”

Big A contemplated the question for a moment, “Not Stanley Enterprises, we’ll use our ‘Superior Homes’ account to purchase the motel.”

Keller returned to the motel office, “My company, ‘Superior Homes,’ will purchase the motel, for cash.”

He the quoted the amount.

“That is more than fair,” She replied, “Sold.”

First, Keller contacted Simpson and had Susan speak with him, “Wire the money to this account, Mr. Stanley, is it?”

“Yes,” Simpson replied, “Right away.”

(Well, Gentle Reader™… Isn’t this a surprise?)

“Well—good for them.”

“New management?” Boomer asked.

“Probably,” Chris replied, “The place has been going downhill for some time now.”

“Too far from Lake Superior, I suspect.”

“Let’s pay them a visit,” Debra suggested, “And say hello.”

“Good idea, Debra,” Boomer replied, “Lets pull-in.”

Episode 5—Scene 2… The Posse inside the Blue Swallow Motel Office Sandra Jones (a new Simpson employee) was working the desk, “May I help you?”

“May I help you?”

“We couldn’t help but notice all the cars in your parking lot,” Chris Earp replied, “It’s been a long time since we’ve seen that.”

“We’re under new ownership,” She replied, “Superior Homes, and they have completely remodeled the motel.”

“That’s wonderful,” Chris replied, “It’s good to see thriving businesses in the county.”

“Thanks,” she answered, “I’m told it used to be run-down, with a couple of permanent residents—who are still renting here.”

“I reckon we’ll be on our way,” Boomer said, “We need breakfast.”

Episode 5—Scene 3… The Posse inside the Silverthorn Café… “What do you think, gang?” Boomer asked, “About the motel?”

“About the motel?”

“I think it’s great,” Chris Earp replied, “But still—I have some doubts—too big a change.”

“Copy that.”
