“Oh—I wish!

Killers Banner ©JBoardmanPreviously: Linda stopped at the motel and went immediately to the office where she found Mortimer Smith working at the desk, “Howdy ma’am, I’m Mort Smith, may I help you?”

“Yes, you may, Mr. Smith, I’m Sheriff’s deputy Halvorson, and I’m looking for six fugitives—all women, and quite dangerous. Have you such guests here?”

“No ma’am,” he replied, “But, if you have a number at which I can reach you, I’ll give you a call.” Continue reading

“What do I gotta do to earn this truck?”

Killers Banner ©JBoardmanPreviously: Ok, OK!” He replied, “Just some women here to look at locations to move their catering business, is all.”

“Let me see their information, please.”

“Crap!”

Killers Banner ©JBoardmanPreviously: Joey & Boomer found Jones & Hale dead inside the cabin. That was no surprise to either man.

They performed all the usual investigative procedures—took photos of the scene—dusted for fingerprints; and outside, made plaster molds of the tire tracks, after photographing them.

“We’ll stop at the first motel we come to,” Hale added, “Where we’ll make our plans” Continue reading

Joey in Charge Banner II ©JBoardmanPREVIOUSLY: About a half-hour later she saw the Adventure Train approaching in the distance. As it drew closer, it began to slow.
