“We go where the train takes us…”

Return of the Adventure Train Banner Previously: There was an unexpected knock on the front door, “Are we expecting anybody?”

“It might just be a peddler, Chris,” Boomer replied, “I’ll see who it is.”

Boomer climbed the ladder—a ladder leading to the front hall closet—and quietly closed the trap door.

There was another knock—a very insistent one, at that.

Boomer opened the door.

Boomer was taken by complete and utter surprise…

Season 10—Chapter 2—Return of the Adventure Train —Episode 2… Boomer was taken by complete and utter surprise—seeing Wyatt Earp IV standing there—grinning, “I was beginning to think I’d have to break-down the door—that, or just shoot my way in.”

Boomer’s hand moved away from his Remington .44, “You damn-near got your dumbass shot!”

Boomer was taken by complete and utter surprise

“You damn-near got your dumbass shot!”

“That’s life in the 19th Century,” Earp shrugged, “But getting my dumbass shot isn’t exactly why I’m here.”

“I’m all a-twitter, and I don’t mean the social media kind of a-twitter.”

“I have new orders for you.”

“Wait—don’t you have a murder to help solve?”

“It’s been solved,” Earp replied, “And if you weren’t s’damn old, you’d remember.”

“What were we talking about?”

“Cujo’s new orders.”

“What new orders?”

“Your famous ‘Adventure Train’ will be here at noon. We’re to board her and go where she takes us.”

“Cujo sent you? Why didn’t she just warp-time?”

“She can’t, she’s fighting a force affecting the space-time-continuum.”

“What force?”

“A cat.”

“That figures, I guess,” Boomer sighed, “I hope it’s not Tiger-Lily.”

“I don’t know what cat, but likely not your RW Tiger.”

“Cujo will prevail. In life she was fearless—in cyberspace she has no enemy strong-enough.”

“Yes. But she told me this one is formidable,” Earp replied, “But still, she’s confident she will win this—like an experienced gunfighter knows his or her skills.”

“You forget who she owned in life,” Boomer chided, “Were there any more instructions?”

“We go where the train takes us. The engine-crew are just along for the ride.”

I have been humoring my granddaughter and reading Warrior Cats their natural enemy in the forest is a Badger. Well they have just run into one called Midnight who is a very enlightened Badger. It is all quite interesting…what does this have to do with the subject at hand? #notaclue

However I am glad to see Wyatt 🙂
