“What’s our next assignment?”

Season 13—Adventure 11—Deadwood! Episode 5—Scene 1… 2016 at Moosehead County Storage… “How did I get here?” Chris Shouse, dumbfounded, asked.

“How did I get here?”

“Cujo,” Lacy Dalton Shouse replied, “SURPRISE!”

“Lacy! REALLY? But—how?”

“Cujo.”

“I should have guessed,” Chris said, “But I’m needed in Dakota Territory in 1873.”

“You’ll be going back at the same second you left, according to Cujo. I’ve been asked to join the 2016 cast of ‘leading citizens of Danger Bay’ by Cujo—so, in part, I can tell you stories about my husband—your great-grandfather—great-granddaughter.”

“Should I call you great-grandmother?”

“Ah—hell no! Let’s be friends—okay?” Lacy replied, “I have the honor of being the first long-dead character to live in two centuries. I view that as quite an honor.”

“It really is. I’m delighted and at the same time—stunned.”

“Oh, we’re going to have some good times!”

Episode 5—Scene 2… 1873 Outside of Deadwood, Dakota Territory… Twenty-two outlaws—eleven from in front of the gold wagon and coach—eleven from behind—rode up and began shooting.

Twenty-two outlaws were in mere seconds lying on the ground—dead—or wishing they were dead.

The “Rootin-Tootinest Posse,” with no small amount of help from Lacy Dalton-Shouse—had dispatched them all to the Promised-Land!

Flying high above—Ragnar was not surprised at the outcome. The posse had performed much as he had anticipated, “There’s twenty-two employees I won’t have to pay.”

WOW! Is he cold—or what—GENTLE READER?

Ragnar was flying far too high to be noticed by the people on the ground—but not too high to be noticed by Heammawihio-Wakonda.

If a Bald Eagle could smile—Karma Bigfeathers would be smiling. Ragnar, even with his mystic-skills—did NOT have the ability to evade the Great War-Eagle—or even see her.

Episode 5—Scene 2… Danger Bay Productions Office… “Your men did good work today, there’ll be a bonus in your paychecks this week.”

“What’s our next assignment?”

“What’s our next assignment?”

“Let’s see—we’re now wrapping-up Episode 5. You’ll probably be needed random citizens of Deadwood sometime in the final 4 Episodes. You all did fine work today—thanks fellas.”

“Would you like to join us for a beer over at the canteen? I hear Linda Bryant Halvorson will be doing her comedy-routine with Joey Jerkowitz.”

“Sure—why not?”
