Previously: MEANWHILE—at the McOsker cabin… Upon their return, Shouse and Black Cloud were invited to join Aleev McOsker in his private office—where heretofore only his brother was ever allowed to visit.

That meeting went much the same as Boomer and Yatters’ meeting with Minicucci…

“And so, Mr. McOsker,” Chris concluded the meeting with, “You must tell us everything about your operations, I mean everything—or we will take you down.”

McOsker believed her.

Adventure Seven—Gang Wars!—Episode Seven… The two infiltrator groups arrived at Boomer’s place, where their vehicles would not be easily seen from Scenic Highway 61.

They had much to plan—and not a whole lot of time to do it.

Boomer set about preparing refreshments and Linda joined the others in the parlor—she had just returned from a very thorough shakedown cruise on the now-armed (and very-dangerous) Skeedaddle.

“It’s time we set-up the downfall of both the Minicucci and McOsker gangs,” Black Cloud began the business part of the meeting without preamble, “Before things get too far out-of-hand. We need to keep the collateral-damage to an absolute minimum. Ideas?”

“Yep,” Chris smiled, “Line ‘em up—and shoot’em all!”

“CHRIS!” came the expected reply from Boomer in the depths of his kitchen.

Black Cloud continued after the laughter, “We received word that the Minicucci bunch is going to hit the McOskers in a tiny village in Forest County—Stanleyville, the day after tomorrow.”

“How did they find out?” Chris asked, “Boss McOsker only just yesterday decided to pay a visit there.”

“One of his hired thugs is a spy for Minicucci,” Boomer replied, “Larry and I aren’t certain which one.”

“Flutters is hanging-out above Stanleyville in an attempt to find out for us,” Yatters added.

“What can I do to help?” Linda asked.

“You and One-Eye Farkleberry take the Skeedaddle off Eagle Point on the north side of the peninsula,” Black Cloud replied, “We believe that Minicucci has a yacht where he goes to when he thinks he’s in danger.”

“So does McOsker,” Chris added, “A steam yacht named ‘Chicago.’ We’re going to try to get Aleev and Liam aboard before the hit.”

“And?” Linda asked.

“I think you should take-out Mincucci’s yacht’s power plant,” Black Cloud replied, “Liam will rescue Mincucci for us. I’ll be aboard to ‘convince’ Aleev to go along with that—one way, or another.”

“I’d rather just sink them both!” Linda grinned.

Chris laughed, “I like how you think!”
