Biker wannabes

Back to Normal Banner ©Jack BoardmanPreviously: While Chris was busy being shocked, Doc McLean and Linda-Sue Johnson entered the office, “Chief Deputy Will Eagle Talon hurting, and still in serious condition…”

“…But he’s going to make it,” Linda-Sue finished Doc’s announcement.

Linda Bryant Halvorson and Sarah Cooper exchanged knowing glances and smiled—it would seem that Linda-Sue and Will Eagle Talon were “an item,” and if not already, will soon be beauty & barber shop topics of conversation.

“Chris? You and Jimmy take the next couple of days off—COMPLETELY off from police work. Come to think of it—I want all Spec-Ops people to take the next two days off—understood?”

“What about you?”

“Big Mac, Jay Merton, Daisy & I are going to hang-out at the Codger Coffee Café.”

Season 13—Adventure 7—Back to Normal?—Episode 9—Scene 1… at the Codger Café & Coffee™… What Boomer & Big Mac had hoped when they decided to hang at the café, didn’t last long as four obvious “biker wannabes” arrived—with an additional twelve wannabes standing outside—clearly, they didn’t arrive on choppers as they each carried a haversack, “We’re looking to rent some cars and a transport truck,” the redheaded woman asked as they walked in, “Our bikes are broke-down outside of town.”

“Interesting—isn’t it?” Mac observed, “The Streamliner just pulled into the station ten minutes ago.”

“What are you tryin’ to say—[Censored]gger?” the bigass fellow asked…

“Oh—You REALLY don’t want to go there—cracker,” Sheriff Boomer hissed, “He can break you into tiny pieces—You just walk down the street to Lakeview Auto Sales, they rent vehicles of all sizes. You ought to be able to find what you need there.”

“You called me ‘cracker’ sheriff?”

“I did, and you are,” Boomer replied, “Do you want the vehicles—or to go to jail? Think long and hard about the next words out of your mouth.”

“I’m sorry Sheriff, my boyfriend is not blessed with much of a brain,” The redhead apologized, “My name is Harper, Rene Harper—and big-badmouthed boyfriend is Jerry Carlson—just in case you have to arrest him.”

“Let’s go check out what we can rent,” Jerry said, “I’m sorry Sheriff, but where I come from people know their place.”

“You just see that while you’re in my county—you know your place—else your place will be in my jail.”

After they left, Boomer called the manager at Lakeview Motors. He told them to supply them anything they need—complete with tracking devices in each, “I have a hunch this is connected to the Canadian Ojibwe plan to take over the Eagle Point Reservation.”

“They’re going to hit the Casino?”

“That’s my thought, Mac.”
