They were outnumbered three to one!

“I’ll tell them what you said.”

“JOEY!”

“I’m hungry,” Joey announced, “Let’s go inside.”

“No, we’d best wait out here,” Chris replied.

“But—I’m hungry!”

“JOEY!”

Season 15—Adventure 2—HIRAM—Episode EIGHT—Scene 1… Downtown Wilberville… “This time—I’m driving!”

“You don’t like my driving, Lar?”

“Not your driving,” Farkleberry laughed, “Just the speed. Besides, I see Chris and Kiwi waiting for us—they’ll no doubt—like to see us pick-up the pace.”

“Hiram—this is Chris. I have Kiwi with me—we’re going to follow behind. Joey and Debra are already on the highway ahead of us—to make sure there are no ambushes.”

“Understood,” Hiram replied, “Lar is driving, and he has little regard for speed limits.”

“Have you seen a caravan of mostly military-style vehicles heading south?”

“No,” Chris replied, “We came in from the north.”

“Keep an eye on your rear-view mirrors—they’ll probably show-up.”

Episode EIGHT—Scene 2… Downtown Wilberville… Twenty-minutes later… The Crusaders for Christ returned and the Reverend Rupert Festus Wilbur, Jr. was NOT a happy man.

He would become even less happy when his daughter-in-law informed him that his quarry now had somebody following along, “That’s fine, we’ll send them to Satan as well!”

Episode EIGHT—Scene 2… Hiram and Lar left Wilberville… With Farkleberry driving they wasted no time futzing along at five under the limit—Lar set the pace at seventy miles per hour.

Chris and Kiwi both got a kick out of knowing that Hiram was probably gripping the armrest like a vice.

Episode EIGHT—Scene 3… On the highway 20 minutes later… “They must have entered the highway from that gravel road in that curve in the highway we passed!”

“Let’s take them out, Chris!” Kiwi exclaimed as she drew her gun and threw the door open.

Chris was right behind.

They were outnumbered three to one!

Kiwi proved to be a remarkable shooter—taking two of the attackers down with two shots.

The battle was over in less than five minutes—with Chris and Kiwi each taking three assailants out—wounded or dead.

Chris was more than a little impressed, “Who taught you to shoot?”

“Hiram.”

To be—CONTINUED…
